I was born in Istanbul in 1989. My learning journey began in the Department of Preschool Education at Dokuz Eylül University and was completed in 2013. Later, I took my interest in English language teaching to an international level by completing the TESOL program (United Kingdom Headquarters) in 2021.

Throughout my education and the early years of my professional life, I have had the opportunity to work in various fields, with different age groups, and with young people from different countries. From special education to foreign language teaching in various cities across Turkey, and from international Erasmus+ projects to cultural exchange programs, these experiences kept asking me the same question over and over: “Is learning merely about transferring knowledge, or is it about exploring the world together?”

In pursuing this question, I discovered diverse ways of learning—sometimes through improvisational theatre on stage, sometimes through the rhythm of a drum, and sometimes through the lens of a photograph. Through both domestic and international educational projects, I observed how creative methods can build bridges in learning. I experienced firsthand how engaging with students not just in the classroom but through play, art, rhythm, and exploration can be both lasting and transformative.

Today, I work at Nadas Schools as the Head of the Foreign Languages Department. Here, together with teachers, we strive to approach language learning not just as a skill but as an intercultural journey. We value the ability of children to listen to different languages while opening doors to different worlds. We believe that learning is not a boundary; it is an infinite space that grows through curiosity, experience, and sharing.
