I was born in Istanbul in 2000. My interest in children has been with me since I was little, but it took shape as a profession during my years at Istanbul Medipol University in the Child Development program. There, I learned not only developmental theories but also how to approach a child’s world with respect.

After graduating, I worked for one year as a classroom teacher at Doruk Children’s Academy. This first experience showed me that teaching is not just about explaining—it’s about listening, observing, and discovering together. Each child offered me a unique journey, and I accompanied these journeys with admiration.

Currently, I work as a classroom teacher at Nadas Children’s Village Kindergarten. My path crossed with Nadas because we share a similar perspective on learning. Here, learning is shaped not just by knowledge, but by nature, play, and the genuine interests of children. With its thematic learning approach, Nadas is a school that strives to understand children’s worlds holistically. Every topic originates from curiosity, branches out, and ultimately transforms into an experience.

For me, teaching means growing together. Each new day in the classroom brings a new question, a new game, a new excitement. I plan my lessons based on the children’s interests and look for ways to highlight each child’s strengths. I believe that learning becomes meaningful when we are surprised together, think together, and feel together.

And sometimes, a single sentence quietly spoken by a child can tell you more than all the knowledge you carry throughout the day. In those moments, you realize how grateful you are to be in this profession.
